Requirements for Accreditation
Requirements for grades 9 through 12: 22 credits (expectation of 150 clock hours of study time)
4 units in mathematics – Algebra 1 and higher (consumer math may qualify as a general elective but not as a math unit)
3 units in science – to include one life science with lab, one physical science with lab, and one science elective (not required to include a lab)
1 unit in health
4 units in English – should include grammar, composition, and literature, (not necessarily all each year) to include ½ unit in American Literature and ½ unit in British Lit
3 units in History & Social Sciences – to include World History, American History, & ½ unit in American Government and ½ unit in Economics
2 units in a Foreign Language (sign language is acceptable)
5 general elective units – Limit of 1 fine arts elective Preference for academic electives
